Automotive designers are continually working to make motor vehicle
interiors more quiet and comfortable. Research tests have shown that outside noise
is often transmitted through the vehicle’s windshield. One way to reduce noise
is to increase the thickness of the glass. However, this provides marginal
noise reduction and adds weight to the vehicle.
